πŸ“– How to add, hide or delete sections, edit dishes and publish live

Welcome to the Taco Mood menu editor! Here is how to keep your store up to date:

  1. Edit Dish Names: Click into the Dish Name field to rename any item.
  2. Edit Descriptions: Update ingredients, notes, dips, or preparation details in the Description field. Leave empty if no description is needed.
  3. Change Prices: Click directly into the Price field (e.g. Β£13.00) and enter the new price.
  4. Mark Sold Out: Check or uncheck "Mark Sold Out" next to any dish. Sold-out dishes will immediately show a bright orange badge on your live website.
  5. Update Opening Hours: In the Store Opening Hours card, tick "Closed" for shut days and set opening/closing times for open days. The website header and footer update automatically.
  6. Hide a section: tick "Hide section" at the top of a section. The whole section (and its dishes) disappears from the website, but nothing is deleted β€” untick it any time to bring it back.
  7. Add a section: press "βž• Add Section" above the menu, next to the search box. The name you type is the heading customers see, for example Sides or Desserts.
  8. Add a dish: press "βž• Add Dish" at the top of the section you want it in, then fill in the name and price. Prices can be typed as 10, 10.5 or Β£10.00 β€” they are tidied up for you.
  9. Delete a section: press "πŸ—‘οΈ Delete Section" and then type the section name to confirm, so it cannot happen by accident. If you change your mind, press Undo in the green message that appears.
  10. Hide a dish: tick "Hide from website" on the dish. It comes off the website but stays in your menu file, so you can bring it back at any time.
  11. Sold Out: ticking "Mark Sold Out" keeps the dish on the menu with a "Sold Out" badge. Use "Hide from website" instead if you want the dish to disappear.
  12. Delete a dish: press "πŸ—‘οΈ Delete Dish" on the dish, then type the dish name to confirm. Undo is offered straight afterwards.
  13. Change the wording at the top of the site: use the "Website Text & Headings" card β€” the big title, the tagline, the menu heading and the sentence under it. Clear a box to hide that line.
  14. Publish Changes: Click the green "Publish Changes" button at the top. Your updates go straight to the live website β€” it usually refreshes within a minute.
